Who we are Natural Design Midwifery Natural Design Midwifery is a home-birth practice offering comprehensive prenatal care to low-risk healthy women. April Williams is a Licensed Midwife with the state of Florida. The prena Natural Design Midwifery follows the routine schedule for prenatal care which is one prenatal visit every 4 weeks from the initial visit until the 28th week visit. Then a prenatal visit ever 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks gestation and once weekly from 36-40 weeks gestation. Natural Design Midwifery is able to offer comprehensive prenatal care for $4200 for self-pay. This amount covers prenatal care, standard lab testing, professional ultrasound (1 fetal anatomy scan at 20 weeks gestation), labor/birth management with April and a trained birth assistant and postpartum care. This amount also includes IV, antibiotics, oxygen therapy, anti-hemorrhagic medication, neonatal Vitamin K injection, neonatal erythromycin eye ointment, and the legal filing of the official birth certificate. April does offer vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) for those eligible. Natural Design Midwifery can accept insurance on a case by case basis. At Natural Design Midwifery, we believe that education is key and we take the time to answer all questions and concerns at every prenatal visit. Her knowledge is amazing and she’s always so calm and collected! Which is what I knew I would need especially since it was our first at home! We had a very fast labor and delivery and she showed up just in the nick of time when I thought I couldn’t go on anymore she was there to help me pull myself together! Lol…..she was like superwoman! she’s had the best bedside manner that I have ever experienced! This midwife is my FAVORITE midwife!!! April is doing such an incredible, amazing, fabulous job – I thought she would be 53 years old when I heard of her and how she’s managing, but no, she’s all young and vibrant! It’s priceless to have somebody at your side that knows what she’s doing and still let’s you have your space! You go, April – be blessed for many, many more amazing birth experiences!!
