For as long as I can recall, I have had a passion for helping moms during pregnancies and caring for their newborns. I know from experience that this is a very exciting and sometimes overwhelming time. I decided I wanted to become a childbirth and postpartum doula after the birth of my second son in 2001. I have spent the past 17 years learning all I can about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care for moms. Hi, my name is Franceska Willis I am a full time trained birth doula and a mother to three amazing children. I use my knowledge in childbirth, motherhood, Childbirth education, to be a great supporting doula and to help clients have a positive birth experience. My deepest passion is guiding and supporting couples who are seeking to give birth by VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) as well as teen mothers. As a mom myself and a having given birth via Cesarean as a teen, I feel I can offer a great amount of support to these moms before, during, and after birth. My experience with having my son inspired me to become a doula I truly believe it is your body, your baby, your birth, and my honor to support you on your journey to motherhood. when I provided support to my friend in the birth and postpartum care of her first child. But it wasn’t until 2013, when I had my son and a amazing support from my doula, that I understood the impact of that kind of support for a family in such an important moment of their life. I officially became a birth and postpartum doula in January of 2017, receiving training through DONA.I strive to be a warm and supportive presence as parents create a birth they will always remember. I am comfortable and experienced with whatever birthing environment you choose to have. When I am not doulaing, I absolutely love spending time with my family and learning new things. Natural BirthWorks We are so excited to announce the option of birthing in our brand new birthing center right here in our area! Natural BirthWorks birth center is equipped with 2 birth suites, amazing soaking tubs, private bathroom, birth stools, labor rope, and labor ball. We will be providing prenatal care and our wonderful lactation services with our 2 beautiful exam rooms. Our workshops, meet-ups, and classes are now done in our cozy community space.
