National Energy Development Inc. has developed a reputation for integrity and honesty in its business dealings. This has enabled the company to acquire leases which require these principles. National Energy Development Inc. is active in the Illinois Basin and the Appalachian Basin. In recent years, the company has discovered some of the most productive oil wells in the State of Tennessee in Overton County, Tennessee. The company is continuing to seek prospective oil leases to test, as well as acquiring oil producing leases. National Energy Development Inc. (NED) was incorporated in 2000. It is a privately held company with current operations in the Illinois and Appalachian Basin. Ira Curry is the founder and President of NED, a family run company with the highest degree of honesty and integrity. Mr. Curry got his start in the oil industry in 1980 as an investor. Not pleased with only being an investor he started drilling and operating his own wells in the Illinois Basin. In 1984 operations expanded to Kentucky, later expanding to north central Tennessee in 1990 where exploration and production continued. By 2008, NED was one of the largest oil producers in the state.
