NAPHCARE, INC., BIRMINGHAM

"TechCare® has made a huge impact on how we see patients. Even our most skeptical providers prior to implementation would never go back to paper again!" "SCSD is the largest Sheriff’s Office in the Northeast. We take our responsibility to provide inmate medical and mental healthcare very seriously." "NaphCare has redeveloped many other aspects of our inmate healthcare." "Our recent transition to NaphCare as our health provider has been flawless. The impact of the changeover was felt immediately by reduced inmate movement within the jail facility and elimination of inmate complaints concerning undelivered medications." " The implementation process went as smoothly as one could hope! Having NaphCare staff on-site during "go live" was invaluable."" "NaphCare’s focus on continuity of care has allowed us to develop and maintain strong partnerships in the community, especially in the area of mental health." "TechCare® has improved organization of patient care; they are seen and followed more promptly. Their records are readily available, which is especially helpful when they move back and forth between our two facilities." "NaphCare constantly reevaluates its processes to find more efficient ways to meet the medical needs of the inmate population." NaphCare is dedicated to implementing cost-effective, quality services according to our clients’ needs. Since 1989, NaphCare has been partnering with county jails and Federal prisons to provide the incarcerated population with quality healthcare, delivered with respect and professionalism. This bedrock principal of ours is so important that we built it into our Mission Statement. Always based in Birmingham, Alabama, NaphCare started as a pharmacy company supplying medications to area jails, landing Lowndes County Correctional Center in Valdosta, GA, as our first client. Within a few years, we started up a dialysis division and began providing on-site dialysis services for facilities in Alabama. And soon after, in 1996, we were awarded our first contract to completely manage the medical needs for the 250 inmates at Marshall County Correctional Facility in Guntersville, AL. NaphCare founder and still CEO Jim McLane has been navigating our expansion ever since, steadily growing his company into a respected industry leader with a nationwide footprint. Today, we provide correctional healthcare services to 53 county/city jails and federal prisons totaling 80,000 inmates and we have dialysis units operational in 13 states. Because we know that every facility is unique, we tailor our services to meet each of our client’s specific needs. . Pioneered by NaphCare, this is a new way of thinking about how to deliver care in a correctional setting, where an inmate’s medical and mental health needs are identified on day one, without delay, so that appropriate care can be planned and administered, immediately. We believe that this proactive, preventive approach is the only way to efficiently manage care inside a jail or prison. A message from NaphCare's CEO The thing I focus on every day is ensuring that NaphCare’s are embedded in everything we do. When I founded this company in 1989, I quickly began to understand just how important these two elements are. They form the foundation upon which everything else is built. . While other companies engage in mergers and acquisitions, we remain under consistent leadership with an unchanging Mission. Neither our clients nor our employees have to worry about drastic changes in our company and how those changes will impact our direction and the services we provide. As a private company, we are not driven by shareholder profit demands and we are not distracted with worrying about how our stock is performing. We believe in our Mission: NaphCare exists to improve the lives of our patients by administering competent, caring healthcare solutions in an environment of respect and professionalism. We want to lead the correctional healthcare industry forward through the continuous development of our proactive, preventative approach to care delivery. And we believe that our major strength that achieves our Mission is the combined wisdom and experience of our employees; that human relationships are the cornerstone of our endeavor. Relationships matter. Be open, honest and encouraging. Combine discipline with structure. Take intelligent risks and demand excellence. People trust us to do what we say we’ll do. To choose ethics over profit. And to act with integrity in all we do. By doing the right things for the right reasons, we build relationships based on openness, honesty, and trust. We are proud to be the first in the industry to develop a Proactive Care Model. Bringing innovative services, complete care and leading-edge technology to correctional healthcare allows us to deliver the best care possible to those we serve. Our commitment to excellence has no compromise. We deliver unmatched care, raise the bar of customer service and hold our products – and ourselves – to the highest standards because our partners, patients, and people deserve nothing less. Care isn’t just in our name. It’s at our core. We are caring professionals who respect the dignity and rights of all members of society. United by this belief, we work as a team to improve each and every life we touch. As a private company, we are not driven by shareholder demands, stock market performance or thoughts of mergers. Our sole focus every day is to bring our Mission to life in an environment of respect and professionalism. Mr. Harrison brings to NaphCare more than 42 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including over 24 years in a correctional setting. His primary responsibility is managing the company’s growth by directing the efforts of NaphCare’s Business Development and Marketing departments. In addition, he oversees the continued expansion of the Pharmacy Operations and End Stage Renal Disease lines of business. Mr. Harrison’s vast experience in sales, contract negotiations, budgeting, and staffing plays a critical role in positioning the company for the future. He has contributed daily to NaphCare’s mission since joining the leadership team in 1994.
