. She retired in May, 2009 to spend more time with family & her brand new grandbaby! Until then, her music ministry had an enrollment of over 700 kids, ages 4 through 5th Grade. Directing children's choirs for 33 years (25 of those at FBC) has taught her the value of a wonderful children's musical. Nothing teaches solid Bible truths and their day to day applications, motivates kids to strive for excellence in musicianship, and keeps her ministry goal-oriented and charged with energy like a GREAT children's musical! For this reason, each year she wrote or adapted two major children's productions for her 2nd - 5th Grade Kingdom Kids. Each production "starred" 300 kids, but was definitely more than just a "show." Nancy & her husband, Bill have been married for 36 years. She is a proud mom to Hunter & Heather & their spouses, & an even prouder new grandmom to Brooklyn, age 1, daughter of Hunter & Kristina. She can�t wait until Brooklyn is old enough for choir!!! Heather & Nathan are expecting Nancy�s 2nd grandchild in June of 2011. Nancy is the "musical writing" half of the "Nancy Brant Music" team. . Diane has led two teams of children's choir leaders to Kosovo to conduct Children's Music Camps for Albanian Kosovar Muslim children in local schools. Each summer she leads a music camp in East Harlem, NY. In 2002, Diane was honored by the International Network of Children's Ministries with their annual Excellence in Ministry to Children award. After years of adapting available materials to unique situations and needs, she has devised a method of integrating music education, spiritual application, and performance preparation into each semester's curriculum. Her goal is to strive for a balanced repertoire of "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs;" a solid music theory foundation; valuable spiritual lessons; and memorable performance opportunities. Diane is mom to Dana and David and their spouses, and a proud grandmom to 2 beautiful little girls, Karis and Dakota, and a handsome grandson, Dawson, but she also claims hundreds of "choir kids" who have sung in her 5th & 6th grade choirs over the years. Diane is the editor & "curriculum writing" half of the "Nancy Brant Music" team, supervising the creation of all the teaching materials.
