What happens after I use the My Home Sleep Testing kit? When you wake up the morning after your test, simply remove the equipment and return it to us in the prepaid envelope we have provided. Since we ship with UPS, you should call or go online to arrange pick-up, or drop it off at a UPS pick-up point. We should receive the device within 5 business days. Once we receive the device, we will extract the information about your sleep test from the machine, and create a report for our physician. which is uploaded to your patient portal. Or, if you prefer, we can forward the data to your referring physician. You will then be notified via email when your test results are ready. Either way, your results will be available within 5 business days following your test! Based on your results, you and your doctor can determine your best course of treatment. The most important difference is that you will not be inconvenienced to go to a facility for the night in order to determine whether you have sleep apnea. You will be able to sleep normally, in your own bed. At home sleep studies are less intrusive as well. You only have a belt around your chest, a cannula in your nose, and a monitor on your finger. Finally, My Home Sleep Testing® is much less expensive. In an initial sleep study, testing can cost a minimum of $800 – $1000. My Home Sleep Testing® is just $169!
