Owner Morgan Murray has always lived and worked in Powhatan County and is a graduate of Powhatan High School class of ’99. In 1997 when he was 15 years old, he had to beg for a job sweeping floors before moving his way up to being general service technician performing oil and tire changes. Eventually he began managing the shop when he was 21 years old, and worked there for a total of 13 years! In July 2011, at the age of 29, he had the opportunity to open Murray Automotive on Douthit Court. Because the owner of Murray Automotive, Morgan Murray, is a Powhatan native having lived and worked here all of his life, he makes sure that Murray Automotive is strongly involved in community development.
