Our Mission Murphy's Backpacks believes education is the great equalizer. A quality education is the key that unlocks the door to a successful future. In many cities across the United States, far too many children, through no fault of their own, face daily barriers to the education they need. Many schools are not adequately able to provide their teachers with the resources needed and many families are unable to fill the gap. At Murphy’s Backpacks we are passionately committed to righting this wrong. Every child deserves school supplies and has the right to a quality education regardless of their circumstances. We want to provide students and teachers with the classroom supplies needed to encourage the learning process for all students. Our Backpack program supports the highest need school communities in Chicago and Southwest Florida because these are our communities and children are our future. In August 2017 Murphy's Backpacks, while not formally registered as a non profit, provided 500 Chicago elementary students with backpacks full of needed school supplies for their upcoming school year. Recognizing what a large need this was filling Jean moved forward with officially forming a non profit with the goal to supply todays learners to support a successful future. This is should be a prospective customer's number one call to action, e.g., requesting a quote or perusing your product catalog. Use this space to tell people what your company does and why and how it does it. What're you known for? Who likes you? What's your number one competitive advantage? Include all the things that make your business unique and better than the competition. Do you have a patented 13-step process for taxidermy that results in the most lifelike stuffed owls? You gotta mention that. Other good things to weave into this copy include: awards won, distinctions given, number of products sold, company philosophy (just keep it short), interesting company history bits, and anything that makes a reader think you'd be awesome to do business with.
