Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital serves the Summerfield, Florida and Villages community for everything pet-related. Our veterinary hospital is owned by Dr. Jennifer Teitelbaum, a 1996 graduate of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital is proud to be a leader in the latest advances in veterinarian medicine. Patient centered care and client education is the cornerstone of our practice. Our team approach, partnering with pet owners, and specialists when indicated, results in positive outcomes and improved health.
We're pleased to offer the following services at Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital:
Prevention is key to helping your pets live long healthy lives, we work closely with our pet owners making sure to educate and offer the best diagnostics the industry has to offer.
We perform dental cleanings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is considered a surgical procedure therefore our technicians schedule all dental cleanings as well as go over the treatment plans which are based on the doctor's examination. All confirmations and instructions are also discussed by our technicians the day prior to the procedure.
Stop in and meet Jennifer- bring your furry friend in too for a consult. For our pets who do not require as much attention to their "do" we also offer a spa like bathing option. We use the hydro surge bathing system which allows the shampoo to be combined with water and oxygen helping it to penetrate the coat more thoroughly as well as offers a more effective rinse.
Do you favor the rapid swoop-and-bag approach to picking up your dog's stools or scooping cat litter? Although most pet owners would rather not prolong contact with their pet's feces, sneaking an occasional peak can provide valuable clues about your furry friend's health and habits.
Feces never smell good, but some bowel movements smell worse than others. All stools have an odor, but the smell shouldn't be overwhelming if your pet is healthy. Ideally, stools should be firm but pliant and resemble the sausage link segments.
The Contents of Your Pet's Stools Provide Important Clues
Your pet's shedding may be related to diet. Pet's thrive on a diet high in proteins and nutrients. Unfortunately, not all pet foods are good for your pet. Foods that contain lots of fillers, such as cereal by-products, corn and rice bran, corn starch, citrus pulp and oat hulls, are more likely to cause shedding. The healthiest pet foods list poultry, beef or chicken or other proteins in the first few ingredients on the label. Before you make a change to your pet's diet, talk to the veterinarian. Diets that are popular with people, such as vegetarian or gluten-free diets, may not be the best choices for your pet.
Did you use your shampoo on your dog after you ran out of pet shampoo? Your shampoo is harsher than products intended for pets and may cause hair loss.
