While today, I stand poised at the helm of Mularz Design... working tirelessly to give my clients the sort of timeless designs they deserve... it hasn't always been this way. Read on if you care to, for below you will find a small window into the experiences which laid the foundation of this small Graphics Solutions Shop based in Hollywood Florida. Favorite pastime as a kid... drawing and creating my own little worlds with paper and pencil as the long Massachusetts winters passed. During my Junior High days I got into painstakingly recreating my favorite logos... Mtv, Miami Vice, Garbage Pale Kids... the good stuff... spent hours doing that stuff. Hunter Hammersmith had Sandals Resorts at that time and I learned a great deal about color, production, working fast, and a program called Freehand. A bunch of pros worked in the studio and they willing to share their knowledge with me. After a year of intensive training another opportunity opened up for me at a small Latin agency in Coral Gables by the name of Reiser & Reiser. After a year of being able to apply my own creativity to brochures and magazine ads, while expanding on my knowledge of Adobe products at Reiser, I jumped at a chance to work at Tinsley Advertising. Tinsley was a great experience that helped build on my pre-press background and art direction skills. I began in the production studio resizing and producing concepts from creative directors, art directors and writers alike. With primary focus on the SuperClubs account I eventually became one of the art directors on that account. After ten years aboard with the talented and successful Tinsley crew, life led me to follow a slightly different path. Need help making your stuff look cool? Like the idea of personalized service? I've got a lifetime of experience with art and graphics, 22 years in the field of advertising & graphic design, and 11 years as an independent designer, aka - Mularz Design.
