The idea of creating a blog originated from a personal desire to channel my passions and practice what I love; connecting with people like you through my writing and share what I have learned along the way. I want to talk about life in general and my own personal growth. I want to share my interest for health, fitness, conscious and happy living and of course shoes and clothing too:-) And by no means am I an expert in any of these areas or anything close to that. I am just inspired by what I have learned in life and continue learning as I move forward, trying new things and of course, making some mistakes. But most importantly, I am inspired by a very strong passion that has always resided in me. And this is why I created , my very own personal blog. A product of a dream driven by love, passion and last but no least, my family’s unconditional support. La idea de crear un blog surgió de mi deseo personal de encaminar mis pasiones y practicar lo que me gusta; conectarme con personas como tú a través de mis escritos y compartir lo que he aprendido a lo largo del camino. Quiero hablar en general acerca de la vida y mi crecimiento personal. Quiero compartir mi interés por la salud, la conciencia y la vida en armonía, y por supuesto los zapatos y las piezas de ropa también. No soy una experta en ninguna de estas áreas ni nada que se parezca. Sólo estoy inspirada por lo que he aprendido en la vida y continúo aprendiendo a lo largo de ella, intentando cosas nuevas y por supuesto cometiendo errores. Pero lo más importante es que me siento inspirada por una pasión muy fuerte que siempre ha vivido en mí. Es por esto que creé mi blog personal Ms. Jeannie y su clóset. El producto de un sueño impulsado por el amor, la pasión y por último, pero no de menos importancia, el apoyo incondicional de mi familia. ? Well, the first half, Ms. Jeannie, comes from my name Jeannette. Some people call me Jeannie and using such nickname seemed to rhyme better with the rest of the blog name. The second half, “Her Closet”, may sound obvious to you because yes, I do talk about clothes and shoes, etc. but it does actually have a personal story behind it as well: The truth is that I have always loved spending time in my closet. Just like a tree house is to a child, my closet is to me; It is the place I go to hide whenever I crave “alone time” and silence. As you know, I have four dogs and they are always seeking my attention so when I want to meditate or pray, I go to my closet. It is actually in my closet where I get ideas and inspiration to write about anything I want. In my closet, words seem to flow through me easily and effortlessly. And you may still be asking yourself: but why in your closet and not anywhere else in your home? Well, I came to realize that it has to do with the appreciation I have for shoes and clothing. Being around them makes me happy, and when we are happy we automatically connect with the creative self within us and experience true peace. So these days you will find me spending lots of time in my closet, especially when writing to you through my blog. It can get kind of messy in there at times and a little tight but it continues to be my favorite place of the house. My closet is the tree house I never had. My lovely daughters Alexandra and Andrea and my dear friend Dave. Thanks for all the love and support you provided to me throughout the entire process and for not letting me give up. You were always there for me no matter the conditions or my emotional state. Dave and Alexandra thanks for taking the pictures when I needed a photographer, your advice and continued support in this journey. Andrea thanks for inspiring me to do what I love and never give up.
