Mount Dora Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization. MDCA is a multifaceted community center, providing fine art gallery exhibitions, educational programs for all ages and levels, monthly Art Splash, an annual fine art auction, and a multitude of volunteer opportunities for all ages. The Mount Dora Center for the Arts also presents the Annual Fine Arts Festival every first weekend of February. This celebrated art show brings together over 200 nationally acclaimed artists, to beautiful historic downtown Mount Dora for a weekend-long arts experience. Mission Mount Dora Center for the Arts is committed to bringing arts alive in our diverse community by fostering creative minds and growth. In 1985, The Cultural Council moved into 138 East 5th Avenue. As time went by, more and more people joined the Cultural Council, and in 1986, the Board of Trustees resolved to change the name to Mount Dora Center for the Arts. The Mount Dora Center for the Arts has provided quality art experiences in the Lake County region of Central Florida ever since. Today, Mount Dora Center for the Arts, strives to bring arts alive in our diverse community.  By offering classes and workshops, gallery exhibits, children's outreach programs, Mount Dora Center for the Arts is a member of the United Arts of Central Florida, FFEA (Florida Festival & Events Association), Rollins College Non-Profit, Arts & Cultural Alliance, NEFA (National Events & Festival Association), Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce, and Lake County Arts & Cultural Tourism.
