Mosscrop Associates provides architectural and interior design services for a wide variety of project types and sizes, ranging in scale from small residential renovations to multi-story mixed use commercial buildings. Mosscrop Associates is licensed to practice architecture and interior design in the states of Florida and New York. Ilija Mosscrop, the principal, served on the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board from 1996 to 1998 and on the Miami Beach Art in Public Places Committee from 2002 to 2007. Prior to forming Mosscrop Associates, Mr. Mosscrop worked in New York City for Beyer Blinder Belle and was involved in the architectural restoration of the historic main immigration building at Ellis Island. Mosscrop Associates have completed several historic renovation and restoration projects in Miami Beach, most notably the Tides Hotel, which earned the 1998 Barbara Capitman Award for Historic Preservation, and the Leslie and Cavalier hotels on Ocean Drive. We were retained as historical consultants for the renovation of Miami Beach’s famed Fontainebleau Hotel. Some of our most notable commercial clients include Chris Blackwell of Island Records, Hugo Boss, Balans Restaurants, Starbucks, I-Man Records, Ziff-Davis, the Aoki Restaurant Group, and a collaboration with the artist Antonio Miralda.
