Founded in 1985, Morgan & Eklund, Inc. (M&E) is a Florida-based land and hydrographic survey firm specializing in boundary, topographic, GPS and hydrographic surveying. Proficient in leading-edge mapping technology, M&E has been providing services to the public and private sectors across Florida for more than 30 years and has offices in Wabasso, Deerfield Beach and Miami. Morgan & Eklund’s clients have included a number of Florida counties and water management agencies, the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. We also have continuing service contracts for topographic and hydrographic surveys with Martin County, Miami-Dade County, Florida Power & Light Company, Indian River County, Flagler County and St. Johns County. M&E is a group of extremely talented professionals who are committed to providing a professional product in a timely fashion. Our staff includes four registered land surveyors, three survey crews and two hydrographic survey crews. We own and operate state-of-the-art land and hydrographic survey equipment including RTK/GPS, digital level, invar rods, bathymetric charting equipment, and electronic total stations and data collectors, and provide the following services: GPS data collection, processing and management – static, fast static, real-time kinematic (RTK), real-time differential (DGPS), post-processed differential. Supported platforms include: GP Survey, and Trimble Business Center Certified by the South Florida Water Management District as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) John Morgan has nearly 40 years of experience in land and hydrographic surveying. His areas of expertise include hydrographic, (single beam & multi-beam surveys) topographic, boundary and control surveys in oceans, rivers, bays, lakes, and navigation channels together with levee and overbank surveys. John supervises all M&E survey tasks associated with large-scale topographic and hydrographic survey projects for beach nourishment, Everglades restoration projects, and channel and harbor improvement projects. He is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the company, including project scheduling, client contact, quality control and supervision of personnel. Member of ACSM, FSBPA, FSPLS, The Hydrographic Society of America and National Society of Professional Surveyors.
