Our Mission Montessori Academy of Naples is dedicated to the philosophy and educational method developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our purpose is to guide each child in a thoughtfully prepared environment to become an independent thinker, resourceful problem solver, and a positive contributing member in our society by focusing on the development of the whole child. From its inception, Montessori Academy of Naples’ Board of Directors has striven to create an educational institution of high Montessori standard and nurture a dynamic environment where children love to learn, parents feel welcome and secure, education professionals want to work, and administrators can cultivate a partnership with the faculty, staff, families, and board. Today, Montessori Academy of Naples has a thriving and ever growing community of students and families. Our students are engaged and enthusiastic learners and community members. Additionally, MAN’s Board of Directors is working diligently to procure and establish a larger permanent campus. Montessori Academy of Naples’ administration consists of the Curriculum Council, the Head of School, and the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer. The Head of School and the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer work together to manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the school and facilitate the decisions made by the Curriculum Council. is the decision-making body of the school. It is comprised of the Head of School and select teaching staff. It is responsible for all decisions regarding academics, programs, and classrooms, including the school calendar, curriculum, student placement, and any event, policy and/or activity that impacts the students and/or the classroom environments. responsibilities are those concerned with overseeing the school as a business including family accounts, record keeping, and operational planning. From the beginning, the Board of Directors of Montessori Academy of Naples has set high standards in regards to staffing and has strived to provide an environment where professionals want to work, can contribute their ideas, and feel appreciated and fairly compensated for their time and talents. From this platform, MAN has gathered an exemplary faculty and staff. Montessori Academy of Naples’ core teaching staff has been working together in the field of Montessori education for almost two decades. Collectively, they have well over a century’s worth of Montessori classroom experience. Added to that core, are a select group of dedicated professionals who bring their experience as educators, parents, and people into the school and the greater community. Montessori Academy of Naples is conveniently located at 2659 Professional Circle just off Interstate 75 and Immokalee Road in beautiful Naples, Florida. The campus sits at the west end of Northbrooke Professional Village which it shares with Hodges University. The main building houses the office and classrooms for infants, toddlers, primary, and adolescent students. Classrooms are equipped with Montessori materials and maintained by trained Montessori professionals. Additionally, there is a library and a kitchen. Outside, there are dual playgrounds outfitted with both natural and man-made materials that offer opportunities to develop motor, social, and creative skills. In Fall of 2014, additional classroom space was leased in the neighborhood in order to house MAN’s ever-growing population of older students. The space is fully furbished and houses MAN’s Lower and Upper Elementary programs. This facility also provides for a dedicated science room and access to an adjacent preserve.
