I soon realized that the pregnancy stage was just the beginning, if I was to have a healthy strong and intelligent baby I had to make sure I provided the very best milk possible for him, and so I continued into a brand new nutritional journey into breast milk and breastfeeding. The journey started on a very rocky road, one which I almost through in the towel and diverted to the easy option (straight up formula feeding). I had to remind myself so many times about the goal that I had initially set out to accomplish and the whole reason why I was doing this. I began to realize how uninformed I was, and that most of what I knew was generalized information that did not apply to me. I struggled with low milk supply, so I set out to teach myself how to overcome my particular problem with the help of lactation consultants, support groups and some great bogs and books. I finally realized that there were so many things that I could do to help, and this was a challenge me and my mind, soul and body had to work together to overcome. I think that support from my husband, friends and family was one of the mayor contributing factors that changed thing around for me, and that’s what I want to be able to offer other mom, a little of Mommyz love that can help over come self doubt, and some extra tips that can make a big difference. Breastfeeding can seem so over whelming sometimes, and you just need some simple and real advice, as a Mom I wanted some support in a way that was spoken in my language.
