Miracle League of Miami-Dade Inc., incorporated on May 20, 2010, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children with physical and mental challenges the opportunity to play baseball. Inspired by their founders Keith Reilly and Karl Sturge in 2009, following an impactful experience at Howard Palmetto partner league, they aimed to broaden this inclusivity across Miami-Dade County. Today, it stands as the 236th facility of its kind in the United States, with over 265 Miracle League fields nationwide and international presence. The organization operates under a committed Executive Board composed of philanthropic community leaders from Miami Dade, alongside volunteers working tirelessly to bring their vision to life—the construction of an accessible baseball field at Tamiami Park. The stadium, inaugurated in August 2016, features custom-designed synthetic turf tailored for special needs participants. Strategically located in Palmetto Bay, within the expansive geographical reach extending from Homestead to North Miami, this facility promises league access to over 69,000 children and young adults. Miracle League of Miami-Dade continues its journey through planning, preparation, and fundraising to ensure success on field #9 at Tamiami Park.
