Matt Chanin is the sole member of Mira Vista Consulting LLC, which he established in 2012 to house his consulting and other business activities. Matt retired from Prudential Investment Management at the end of 2011 after 35 years, the last 15 as head of the firm’s private fixed income businesses, including private placement lending and commercial and agricultural mortgages. Matt continues to consult with Prudential Capital Partners, the mezzanine fund business of Prudential Investment Management, and serves on the boards of three companies in the Prudential Capital Partners’ portfolio. Having focused on the energy industry for much of his career, he currently serves on the Board of Supervisors of Suburban Propane LP, an NYSE-listed firm and on the Advisory Board of Yorktown Partners LLC, a manager of private institutional energy funds. He also consults with Berson & Corrado LLC, a private asset manager with offices in New York and New Jersey. In the non-profit area, Matt has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Integrity House, the largest substance abuse treatment organization in New Jersey, since 2005 and has served on the Advisory Board of the Andrew Goodman Foundation since 2009. Matt holds a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Rutgers University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Matt is married and the father of two grown sons. He and his wife, Debbie, reside in Delray Beach, Florida and spend summers in Lavallette, New Jersey. Matt enjoys golf, tennis, wing shooting, fine wine and reading.
