The culmination of our 50th year of marriage was a delightful party at our home surrounded by our family and many of our friends from across the years ( and the country) including most of our original wedding party. We ate, danced and of course toasted the past and future with plenty of bubbly!! ( photo here). We are truly blessed in so many, many ways. Our pleasure travels in 2017 took us to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks in January, Mexico City with Festival Mozaic in March, a river cruise from Bucharest to Budapest with college friends in April, the solar eclipse with our son's family in August and a tip to tip driving tour of New Zealand in September. Business travel to Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia and Portland as well as San Francisco, LA and San Diego kept us on the road as well. We continue to be blessed with good health for ourselves and our family. Although a slip in the shower resulted in a broken and displaced left wrist for Jo Anne, her recovery has been excellent. Our grandkids continue to grow up at a furious rate - both Myles and Faith turned 10 this past June and Isaac is now 8. We are so fortunate to be able to see them frequently and hosted them again for a week this past summer. Although the terrible fire in Sonoma county came perilously close to our daughter's home in Santa Rosa, she suffered no damage - our blessings continue. Events with the extended family included milestone birthdays for both my Rick's sister Ellen and Jo Anne's sister-in-law Angie. Jo Anne joined her brother's family for an October weekend in Yosemite.
