Our mission is to provide independent insurance advice and solutions which meet the needs of the maritime, U.S. and international communities, while consistently exceeding their expectations. MHG was established in 1991 by Andrew Dudzinski and John Haagensen in the Port of Miami. Andrew, an expatriate insurance expert with extensive business development experience, and John, a former seafarer on cargo vessels and cruise ships, recognized a need for marine employers and employees to access the same insurance plans available to those based on land. MHG Insurance Brokers focused on the marine industry for six years before expanding its offerings to include employer-sponsored plans for multiple industries. MHG has enjoyed continuous growth since then and is now offering insurance solutions to fit the needs of marine employers and employees, contractors and concessionaires, as well as a full line of group and individual insurance benefits for employers, employees, business, travel, and expatriates, regardless of industry. In 2016, MHG Insurance Brokers celebrated 25 years through an international campaign that included a brand refresh, a new website, and an international multimedia outreach.
