Creator & Owner, Martha Istefanidis, is no stranger to the garment business. An industry veteran of over twenty years, Martha's interest in apparel was first piqued as a child while learning the tricks of the trade from her fashion designer and pattern maker mother. Martha was born and raised in Bogota, Columbia and grew up to realize she had a passion for design as well as business. She received a Business Management education from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, and also a Fashion Design degree from the Arturo Tejada Cano School of Design, both located in Bogotá. After honing her skills at various internships and assistant positions at prestigious design houses, Martha decided it was time to utilize her wealth of business, technology and design knowledge. In 1994, in collaboration with her husband Bill, Martha invented a mass production process, combining screen printing and embroidery technologies. With this invention, Stitch Art T-shirt was born and sold to many retailers around the U.S. and Caribbean, including National Wildlife Catalog and Busch Gardens. The business was featured in the business section of the Tampa Tribune in October of 1995. 1997 brought Martha an award for Stitches Magazine's Annual Stitch-Off Competition and the company was featured in the business section of the Tampa Tribune again. The same year, Stitch Art's innovative technology was featured in Press Magazine. In 1998, Martha founded MGI Graphics in an effort to provide contract embroidery services. This was the focus of the company until 2001, when Martha added Santoni (seamless) technology to the mix. The N-fini™ brand was born and MGI Graphics became a leading manufacturer in the seamless business. Realizing there was a need in the marketplace for truly functional undergarments, Martha made it her mission to identify the customer's needs and wants in her approach to the design and creation of N-fini™ Shape. She devoted two years to developing and testing the line on women of different ages, shapes, and lifestyles. The result is a full collection of body toning styles that, unlike many other shapewear brands on the market, do not sacrifice comfort. In August of 2007, N-fini™ Shape arrived, becoming an overnight success and rivaling the top shapewear manufacturers in the world. N-fini™ Shape is sold in major catalogs and high end boutiques around the country. You can also find the line in the Caribbean and Canada. With the latest addition of Plus Sizes, the future is certainly bright. Recently N-fini™ Shape was featured on Fox 13 as an up-and-coming business whose success has rivaled leaders in the industry. Martha wants the consumer to feel toned, sexy, confident and most of all, comfortable. Between her commitment to market research, customer satisfaction, and the use of advanced technologies in the design and production, Martha plans to grow MGI Graphics, Inc/N-fini™ Shape into the leading brand in the seamless intimate apparel business, and she is well on her way. Our experienced staff of technicians and designers are intimately familiar with the entire production process of seamlesswear from product development to production, knitting, washing, dyeing, and sewing. With Santoni's seamless technology we are able to reach remarkable results: Tubular Fabrics without seams, laid-in elastic yarns inserted in the welt bands and equipped with areas having gradual compression.
