Meridiam was established in Europe by Thierry Déau, formerly Chief Executive of Egis Projects (a subsidiary of France’s Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, specialized in developing, financing and managing infrastructure projects), with operational and financial support from AECOM Technology Corp. and the Crédit Agricole Group

Meridiam key figures
Thierry joined Meridiam in 2007 as Director of French PPP projects business development.
Prior to Meridiam, Thierry managed several offices, including the Department of Infrastructure of the Technical Engineering Centre in Aix en Provence, and the Mobility and Infrastructure Unit of the Marseille Departmental Infrastructure Office. He was also responsible for the development and implementation of major public infrastructure plans, the coordination of highways with local transport in and around Marseille, Nice and Montpellier. He was then development director of the South of France Highways, the biggest French concession company. Most importantly, as Deputy director of the Ministry for Transport and Infrastructure’s General Highways Department he was responsible for the decentralisation and the reorganisation of national road services.
Christophe joined Meridiam in 2010. After supporting the fund raising process and the management of investors as Director of Investor Relations, he moved to the transaction side to focus on brownfield and greenfield projects in Europe.
Prior to joining Meridiam, Christophe spent ten years in management consulting, both in France and the US. As a principal with Roland Berger's Private Equity practice, he completed due diligences projects for private equity funds, and also worked for several construction groups on strategy and operational improvement assignments in France, Netherlands, the UK and the US.
Christophe holds a Master (DESS) of University Paris IX Dauphine, an MBA of University of Michigan (Ross School of Business) and the DESCF (Trained CPA).
Alexis joined Meridiam in 2017 as CEO of Oc’Via, French first mixed new rail link for both freight and high speed trains.
He joined Systra, world #1 Rail and Transit Engineering Company in 2002 as Director of the Transport Planning Department, then appointed Director of the Transportation Equipment and Systems Department. In 2007, Alexis de Pommerol moved to Vietnam as Project Director for Hanoi Metro Line 3.
In 2010, Alexis de Pommerol joined Vinci, world leader in Concessions and Construction, as LISEA’s Vice-President for Operations. LISEA is the Concession company in charge of financing, designing, implementing, maintaining and operating the 300 km High-Speed Line between Tours and Bordeaux, France. The Line opened mid-2017, ahead of the schedule set in the €7.8bn Concession contract signed with SNCF-Réseau in 2011.
Armelle joined Meridiam in June 2016 as Marketing & Communications Director.
Armelle holds a Master Degree in Business and Management (Université Paris IV - Dauphine) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Communications and Journalism (Institut Français de Presse, Assas).
Thierry Déau founded Meridiam in 2005 with the belief that the alignment of interests between the public and private sector can provide critical solutions to the collective needs of communities.
He is currently Meridiam’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, as well as its main shareholder, along with several members of the team.
Prior to Meridiam, he worked for France’s Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations where he held several positions with its engineering and development subsidiary Egis Projects, moving up from project manager, then director for concession projects to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in 2001.
Thierry graduated from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées engineering school in Paris and began his career in Malaysia with the construction firm of GTM International.
David joined Meridiam in 2005 and participated in the closings of Limerick Tunnel (Ireland) and LIFT portfolio (UK) and led the A5 motorway (Germany) closing in March 2009. He has also participated in the preparation of bids and undertaken due diligence for projects in France, Portugal, Belgium, Romania, Spain and Poland.
