It started with a Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Duo that my dad gave me when I graduated law school and kicked into high gear as I became a collector myself. This led to my buying, selling, trading and especially talking watches with other collectors and dealers who were as obsessed as I was, and from researching and educating myself, which never really ends. At a certain point I knew that I wanted to be a full-time “watch guy,” and it’s been incredibly gratifying to watch Menta Watches grow so much in such a small amount of time. Like any business, this one requires the integration of many elements, and for me the most essential of these is the one hardest to teach: passion. Close behind are natural curiosity, respect for the evolution of a craft, and appreciation of the people whose innate gifts somehow allow them to turn craft into art.
