I received an M.A. in Political Science in May of this year and a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish in 2011, both at the University of Rhode Island. Formative experiences motivating the above research interests include a year living in Medellín, Colombia as a 2011-2012 Student Fulbright Fellow, coursework in human rights and governance studies in Madrid, Spain in 2013, a legal research intern role at the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland in 2013-2014, and three field research trips to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2016-2017.
