Randy Maultasch first became interested in glass when he saw the glass art of master glass artists Galle and Daum in 1973. Soon after, he saw the glass art of LaFarge and Tiffany and began to learn the process of creating glass art. In 2011, he founded the Maultasch Glass Studio and dedicated himself to making the finest glass panels he could create. Mr. Maultasch does not use any paint in his work and uses the finest hand made glass in his panels. He works with rare, out of production glass that he has collected for more than 35 years along with glass made by Bullseye and Uroboros, two of the top creators of glass today. His “Lady Justice” panel was designed and created by him as a commission for the Honorable Victoria R. Brennan, a Circuit Court Judge in Miami-Dade County, and is the first glass art hanging in a courtroom in Miami-Dade. Mr. Maultasch is also a criminal defense attorney who began his legal career as a prosecutor 33 years ago and practices law in the same courthouse where his “Lady Justice” now hangs.
