Jay Massirman is the founder and President of Rivergate Companies, a management, investment, development and advisory firm headquartered in Miami, Florida. Jay has 30 years’ experience in real estate sector which spans the capital markets, investment and equity raising sectors. Prior to forming Rivergate Companies, Jay spent 20 years with CBRE, a global real estate service provider. As a Vice Chairman, he was a perennial top producer and was actively involved in the sale and financing of more than 400 transactions of all product types with an aggregate value in excess of $10 billion. Prior to joining Cypress, Bruce was a developer in the San Francisco Bay Area, first as a partner with the Castle Group Company and then as a partner with Thompson-Dorfman Partners. At Thompson-Dorfman and the Castle Group Bruce oversaw the acquisition, entitlement, and development of approximately 4,400 units in San Francisco and the Bay Area. At Castle, he led the company’s efforts in the use of modular construction processes for multi-family projects. Prior to moving to San Francisco Bruce was a developer in Florida and co-founded Heritage Development Company in 1996 where he oversaw all aspects of the development process for over 5,600 units. Between 1990-1995, he acquired over 6,000 REO and distressed debt units as Co-founder of Bailey Capital Company. Previously, Bruce was CFO of Trammell Crow Residential' s Central Florida Division and later Area Partner, responsible for overseeing the development of 8,500 multi-family units across four regional divisions. Adrian Berger, as VP, Acquisitions, is responsible for business development and acquisitions; focusing on new developer and operator relationships for the firm’s GP/LP Platform in the US; and acquisitions of development and value-add opportunities in Greater Los Angeles. Adrian brings more than 15 years of business development experience across the US, Australia and Asia. Prior to joining the firm, Adrian was President of Corner Commercial Real Estate, a Commercial Real Estate Brokerage in NYC focused on Investment Sales and Retail Leasing. He has transacted across many classes of real estate within the US and across the globe. Adrian earned his Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering in Sydney, Australia and has an MBA in General Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia.
