We are currently hiring ... Contact Us Now We were founded in 1964 off the back of the successful Chartered Accountancy practice, run by Mr Malachy B McGrady FCA. With the growing regularity of insurance enquiries from his clients, Malachy sought and granted insurance Agencies. This then resulted in what has now known as McGrady Insurance. From the very beginning, the ethos of our company was developing a family business from and for our communities in Northern Ireland. By the late 1960s, we had grown to an extent where staff were needed and so Malachy employed his brother Miceal (Mihall) who had already extensive knowledge as an insurer in Belfast, to manage the business. Over the intervening years the business grew in reputation and in name to deliver a service unrivalled throughout Belfast. This continued through the years until the untimely death of Miceal. In 1990, Fintan McGrady took over as MD after having cut his teeth in the Banking Industry for 15 years. Since then the business has gone from strength to strength. Under Fintan's direction the company ethos has led to a realised vision of the company now being one of the best known and respected brokerages in Belfast and within the Province. His involvement in motorsport, boating and cycling circles has led to him becoming a well-known and respected figure throughout the Province, for both his sharp business skills and fearless sporting achievements. He is trusted by many loyal clients from near and far, and continues to lead the industry into the 21st Century. McGrady Insurance is part of Global Risk Partners Limited (GRP), a rapidly growing Top 20 broking intermediary and underwriting group. GRP comprises retail and Lloyd’s brokerages and specialist managing general agents trading in the UK retail and global, specialty insurance markets. It was established in 2013 by Peter Cullum, Chairman, David Margrett, Chief Executive, and Stephen Ross, Chief Operating Officer, and is backed by private equity firm Penta Capital LLP.
