The Stanley McDonald Agency was founded in 1914 by Stanley McDonald. We were located in La Crosse, WI from 1914 until 2016 when we moved 7 miles north to our new location at 1101 Main Street in Onalaska, WI. The agency has been family owned through four generations with Stanley's great grandson Jim owning the agency now. We have gone through many changes over the past 100+ years, moving from an all lines general agency to a specialty programs agency, and are now operating as both a general agency offering all lines of insurance, as well as acting as a program manager for two national programs. In 2013 the agency acquired Armitage, Inc. dba Dave Trapp Agency which allowed us to enter into the employee benefits market as well as individual and group life, health and disability insurance. Along with the Armitage acquisition we also acquired Second Opinion Insurance Services and Corporate Compensation Plans of Wisconsin. More information about these can be found below. Dave Trapp and Lisa Bradbury manage this division of the Stanley McDonald Agency. On August 1, 2016 we acquired Dale Harkness's Wisconsin Insurance Center of Viroqua, Inc. Now operating as Wisconsin Insurance Center a Division of Stanley McDonald Agency, we are excited to enter back into the local personal and commercial insurance market. Dale Harkness and Sara Pochanayon and Dianne Kurtz are still with Wisconsin Insurance Center and will continue to provide the same level of service and knowledge that Wisconsin Insurance Center customers have come to expect.
