Four generations of the McCall family have compassionately attended to the funeral needs of Greater Victoria since David M. McCall and James M. McCall founded McCall Bros. Funeral Directors in 1921. It is a testament to the strength and caring nature of our family that one generation followed another in helping Victoria’s bereaved for nearly 100 years. David A. McCall, third generation, is President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Born in Victoria in 1951, David graduated from Oak Bay High School and later attended U.B.C. where he received a Bachelor of Commerce. He spent 18 months with Texaco in Vancouver before joining the family company in 1976. David has been a director of the Funeral Service Association of B.C. and in 1995 was instrumental in establishing licensing of funeral providers and directors for the province. David’s son Trevor McCall and nephew Craig McCall Williams represent the fourth generation of the McCall family. Trevor was born in Victoria, BC and graduated from Glenlyon Norfolk High School in 1998. He played Junior Hockey for the Victoria Salsa before earning a hockey scholarship to Iona College in New York State. Trevor graduated with honours from Iona in 2005 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance. He worked for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in New York City before returning home to join the family firm in 2009. Trevor became Vice President of McCall’s in 2014. Craig McCall Williams joined the firm in 1996 and shortly thereafter enrolled in the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science where he obtained an Associate’s Degree. Craig served on the Board of the Funeral Service Association of BC from 2009 to 2013 and became General Manager of McCall’s in 2014. In addition to his managerial responsibilities Craig currently oversees the Pre-Planning, After Service Concierge, and Community Outreach programs. He graduated from Brentwood College School in 1993 and from there graduated with honours from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1999, obtaining his Associates Degree. During his time in Northern California, he worked for Duggan’s Serra Mortuary where he gained incredible work experience with the dynamic and successfully run family business. Upon graduation he moved back to Victoria and began his career with McCall Bros. where he now manages the overall operations of the Funeral Home, as well as Advance Planning, After Service Concierge, and Community Outreach programs. Craig and his cousin Trevor represent the fourth generation of the McCall family to be working for the family firm in which they take great pride. He has two amazing children; son, Ben and daughter, Mia.
