About MB Clinical Research and Consulting, LLC MB Clinical Research and Consulting, LLC  is an independent organization specializing in the design and conduct of clinical studies in human nutrition, cardiometabolic health and cognitive function. We are dedicated to advancing science and improving human health through completing high quality investigations of food, drug, dietary supplement and medical device products.  The company has two divisions:  Midwest Biomedical Research in Chicago and Glen Ellyn, Illinois and MB Clinical Research in Boca Raton, Florida. Kevin C. Maki, Ph.D. is the President and Chief Science Officer of MB Clinical Research and Consulting, LLC.  He specializes in the design and conduct of clinical studies in human nutrition, metabolism and chronic disease risk factor management.  Dr. Maki also holds Adjunct Faculty positions at DePaul University and Illinois Institute of Technology.  He is a Fellow of the National Lipid Association, The Obesity Society and the American College of Nutrition, as well as a certified Clinical Lipid Specialist and Vice President of the Board of Governors of the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology. Our mission is to improve health through research on chronic disease prevention and treatment. By doing so we hope to contribute to the development of safe and effective ways to help people live longer, healthier lives.
