Maya Papaya Organic Community Farm began in 2011, when Maya and her husband Lawrence, along with their two young sons moved from Miami to Oviedo, Florida; though their long held vision of creating a sustainable, natural food producing, healing and holistic intentional community was born in 2001. Around this time, Maya began to understand the encroaching pollution of our natural food supply with unlabeled GMOs, growth hormones, pesticides, and herbicides, and how this relates to our general cultural disconnection. Maya Papaya seeks to be a bridge to a brighter day for our children’s children, and beyond, nourishing community, mind, body, and spirit. Maya Papaya’s is a holistic, nourishing, healing, educational and creative agri-tourism space anchored by a working farm; a co-created sacred space where the community comes together to explore, learn and grow into more balance, harmony, and conscious well-being with each other and our earth.
