Matthew 25 Ministries helps in the effort to reduce homelessness by making low cost, safe housing opportunities to qualified ex-offenders. Many ex-offenders are released from incarceration with no money and very little support from family and friends.
Matthew 25 Ministries has been providing housing opportunities and other assistance to hundreds of men and women for over seven years at the City of Refuge. Our efforts have helped to prevent re-incarceration and homelessness which saves taxpayers up to $3.5 million dollars per year.
Matthew 25 Ministries helps prevent recidivism (an ex-offender committing the same offense again) by promoting a loving and caring "family" environment which provides emotional support and people to turn to when life gets tough.
Through these efforts, where we reduce homelessness and help prevent recidivism, we not only save taxpayer dollars - we help improve public safety.
