About Mathodology Based in Northeast Florida, Beantown Partners and [M4th]odology Institutes will customize our training to match your individual or school objectives. We provide an interactive experience for student and teacher growth, as well help create benchmarks and guidelines to allow for continued success. With more than two decades of teaching experience from K to 12, our formula mixes passion, relationship building and hands-on experience to produce the end result of deeper content knowledge. Ban Har spent ten years at the National Institute of Education (Singapore), where he taught a range of teacher education courses, including graduate courses. He continues to teach courses and supervise practicums at tertiary institutions such as the National Institute of Education (Singapore), SIM University (Singapore), and Wheelock College (United States of America) in adjunct and associate positions. He also sits on the advisory board of the Professional Advisory Council of NTUC First Campus, a major provider of early childhood education in Singapore. Understanding the whole child and each unique and ever-changing learning path has led Trish to teach a broad range of ages and abilities. Trish began her teaching career at the middle school level in St. Johns County where she was the county’s Rookie of the Year. In 2010, she returned to her middle school roots in St. Johns County, most recently teaching 6th and 7th grade math, making strong gains with both struggling learners and those who were advanced or gifted. Gregory Bertha is an elementary school math teacher who delivers rich math instruction for his 4th and 5th grade students while coaching fellow educators to success with the Singapore Math® methods. With ten successful years of experience teaching elementary students in a private school setting, Greg has brought his own style to the Singapore approach. He is passionate about education and making mathematics meaningful and fun for students and teachers alike. “Sarah Schaefer’s work at Oak Hill School has been instrumental in our adoption of Singapore Math. While we were examining different math programs, Sarah came to our school to provide a one-day training. By the end of that day, our entire faculty was behind this approach! Since then, Sarah has come monthly to Oak Hill to provide demonstration lessons, lead grade-level planning sessions, present to parents, and to be an instructional coach to our teachers. In between visits, we often reach out to Sarah, and she readily responds with feedback to lessons, as well as answers to our numerous questions. Many of our teachers have attended her summer, fall, and spring Mathodology institutes, and they always come back with a much stronger foundational understanding of the Singapore approach. We simply can’t get enough of Sarah at Oak Hill!
