Having developed a devoted base of fans and followers, Mary opened her own gallery five years ago and added a new art-making studio two years ago that has piqued the interests of locals and visitors alike.
Mary and her husband, a commercial airline pilot, relocated to the Emerald Coast in 2004 when she joined the Eglin Aero Club to complete her multi-engine commercial pilot’s rating before giving birth to her twins Kai and Rain in 2006. As her twins entered preschool, Mary went back into the art world, opening two thriving businesses in Grayton Beach, FL: Mary Hong Gallery and The Shard Shop.
