David is managing partner of Martin CPA & Company, LLC. He has over 35 years of accounting and auditing experience including serving as Auditor General for the State of Florida for 8 years until June 2015. David has served on national committees and advisory groups including the United States Comptroller General’s Advisory Council on Governmental Auditing Standards and the Executive Committee of the National State Auditors Association.
After managing a large staff of accounting professionals for much of his career, David established Martin CPA & Company, LLC in Lake City, Florida with a practice focus on financial and tax planning for individuals and small businesses, small business accounting including payroll services, and various government accountability initiatives. David enjoys and promotes the firm's personalized and hands-on approach to serving individuals, small businesses, and governmental clients.
David is a 1980 accounting graduate of the University of Florida, a Certified Public Accountant, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is active in his church, involved in international Christian missions, and currently serves as International President of The Gideons International.

During his career with the Auditor General, Ted coordinated or supervised hundreds of audits of district school boards, State colleges and universities, and local governments (counties, municipalities, and special districts), developed and implemented audit programs and audit plans; conducted reviews and evaluations of accounting systems and internal controls; coordinated and provided continuing education and training for Auditor General staff; provided technical advice to governmental entities and their auditors; promulgated rules for audits of governmental and non-profit entities; and supervised the review of annual financial audit reports submitted by charter schools, district school boards, and local governments.

Caleb is a partner and tax advisor at Martin CPA & Company, LLC. He is a graduate of the Florida State University Business School where he received his Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing. Caleb is a Chartered Tax Advisor and is currently enrolled in the Certified Financial Planning program at the University of Florida. Caleb worked as a supervisor in the retail industry through his college years. He then moved into the banking industry upon graduation and was a supervisor at a local bank in Tallahassee before moving to Lake City.
