Dr. Marta Helliesen has an unmatched resume for helping people improve their quality of life by reducing physical pain through movement and touch. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master degree plus numerous other certifications, and is also a Gift fellow at the prestigious Gray Institute. Originally from Norway, Marta spent over twenty years in New York City before she relocated to Miami in 2012. She has helped countless people obtain mental and physical balance as well as optimal function. Besides her clinical work, Marta has contributed to her field by authoring a book as well as several book chapters and academic articles. She has conducted numerous workshops in the US and Canada on how to listen, understand and integrate brain and body. Marta is currently working out of her clinic in North Miami/Hollywood where she helps clients, of all ages and fitness levels, with a variety of chronic or acute painful conditions. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to succinctly assess musculoskeletal imbalances and create comprehensive treatment plans that address the core problem rather than the symptoms.
