Marina Elliot Born and raised in Brazil, Marina Elliot moved to America at 17 years old to pursue higher education. She graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs in 2006 with a 3.5 GPA and went on to explore a career in the insurance industry. In 2014, she moved her family to Surfside after her husband, who practices in the areas of commercial real estate and corporate/business law, was recruited to work in a large law firm in downtown Miami. During this move she transitioned into the area of staffing and recruiting.  As a result of these life experiences, she has acquired extraordinary negotiation skills and has learned the true meaning of customer service. “My background in claims adjusting and recruiting has prepared me to understand just how important a real estate transaction is, this may or may not be the largest financial transaction in someone’s life and must be handled with kids gloves.” Her passion of helping people is apparent. Marina takes pride in being 100% transparent in all of her transactions. Aventura is a suburban city in the northeast section of Miami-Dade County.  Aventura, from the Spanish word for "adventure" started out being exactly that until it was incorporated in 1995 as the City of Aventura. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the area known as Biscayne Gardens, was mostly swampland, and the later developments with numerous high-rise condo buildings made Aventura one of the most sought-after, recognized destinations in the world. The City has its own manager-city commission government, comprising a city manager, who is the city executive, a major, and six commissioners that make up the city commission or legislature. The City also has its own Police Department, which was formed in 1997. The Bal Harbour Police Department offers a high degree of protection and safety by land and sea, to both the residents and visitors of the Bal Harbour Village, with a ratio of one officer to every 132 residents, making Bal Harbor one of the safest places in the world to live.  The Village of Key Biscayne is a gorgeous island community comprised of businesses, beautiful beaches, parks, a historic lighthouse, residences, condos, and it is where many families from around the world call home. Sunny Isles Beach is located on a barrier island on the northeast section of Miami Beach, in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The east side is directly on the Atlantic Ocean, the west side is facing the Intracoastal Waterway, and it has one main road running north to south, Collins Avenue. Because of its incredible beauty of sun and surf, the City Commission has approved a new name of "Florida's Riviera" for this prestigious, prime location, likening it to that of the oceanside community of St. Tropez in Southeast France. The City of Sunny Isles Beach is situated perfectly between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, making it a half an hour drive to both the Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami to the south, and the Fort Lauderdale Airport and Port Everglades to the north. Sunny Isles Beach became a City in 1997, and developed this beautiful area with its two-and-a-half mile stretch of white sand beach into a prime location for locals as well as visitors. From the heyday of "motel row," the city has slowly but surely transitioned to a "millionaire's row" featuring luxurious developments now gracing the east side of Collins Avenue as well as a myriad of infrastructure improvements, beautification projects and beneficial services. The 2010 census determined the population of residents was 20,832, an increase of 17% from the 2000 census. Although Sunny Isles Beach is growing, it is at a pace that is not overwhelming the infrastructure and services that the City provides. It is a community that lets you experience all that you ever heard about South Florida living, with its white sand beaches, sunshine, with easy access to shopping at its best, fine dining at restaurants with celebrity chefs, and a short drive to the pulsating South Beach area where the sizzling nightclub life and entertainment abounds.
