Margaret stepped off the corporate treadmill in the early 1990s and again in the early 2000s to pursue her love of textiles. She first established a made-to-measure business and later a range of off–the-rack wearable art pieces. The wearable art led Margaret down a path to sculptured canvases and onto sculptured lampshades, utilising recycled materials wherever possible. 2011 saw Margaret and her partner abandon city life for 30 acres of undeveloped land in North Eastern Victoria, creating space for reflection. Many, often repeated, conversations/counselling sessions later Margaret finally hit the keyboard. Interestingly enough, many years ago in the life coaching session where she declared that the skill she would most like to develop was her intuition she also stated that she believed that her purpose in life was to “help others find happiness”. From birth, we are bombarded with the thoughts and beliefs of others, individuals, groups and organisations, and rarely invited to question.
