Since 1997 Dale and Melanie Firebaugh, the owners of Manasota Joe, have been in the coffee business. During those 20 years, they developed a direct connection to Honduras and initially imported shade-grown coffee beans from small farms in the Comayagua Mountains.
They began roasting Honduran coffee in Michigan and in 2002 moved to southwest Virginia where they continued roasting and also opened a coffee shop. To add variety to their coffee company, they expanded their selection of coffees to include many coffees from around the world.
