Hello! I’m Andrea R. Arauco, Licensed Psychotherapist. My goal to empower, support, and help mothers control mental obstacles as well as conquer the challenges that they can experience through their own unique transition into motherhood. Although I have worked with other populations in my career, I have navigated towards specializing in Maternal Mental Health due to my own personal journey through postpartum depression with my first born. I understand how important emotional support is during this period. As a therapist, this specific population is very dear to my heart, which is why I have made it my mission to work with moms suffering from a Perinatal Mood Disorder. . I would like to help moms better understand their emotions during this time while highlighting strengths that would have them thrive in this new role. By normalizing the task of seeking help and treatment for postpartum depression we can shed light on this topic which is often not talked about and almost always undiagnosed. It is crucial for mothers to seek the help they need without feeling stigmatized or shamed.
