Make The Play Sports Experience: Coach Dave Roca started his career in coaching in Queens, New York as an assistant coach at Christ the King High School, a prestigious private school and recognized as only 1 of 4 in the country that is fully sponsored basketball programs by Lebron James. Christ the King is known to have produced some of the best players that have made it to the NBA such as Lamar Odom, Speedy Claxton, Eric Barkley, Malik Sealy, Jason Williams, and Derek Phelps to name a few. Coach Roca attended St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where he attained a Bachelor of Science in Business, a Masters, and Specialist Degree in School Counseling. He has been employed for Broward County Public Schools for over 10 years. Roca is a Guidance Director/Administrator at Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston, FL. There are no registration deadlines, however Make the Play camps usually sell out rapidly. Welcome to Make the Play Sports Camp Make the Play Sports is committed to providing a secure, structured, enthusiastic environment for youngsters of all ages. Make the Play’s professional staff and counselors will run the day to day operation of the camp utilizing their professional skills and talents to make sure that the campers have an enjoyable and productive learning experience. All on-site Coaches and Directors of Make the Play are either School Administrators or Certified Teachers within Broward County Public Schools. Make the Play is determined to building not only the player on the court but build character and increase confidence in all its campers.
