Building on our rich heritage since 1904, Madison Academy is a Christian college-preparatory institution offering a curriculum that is challenging in its content, relevant in its focus, and spiritually-rich in its purpose. Our students engage in vibrant campus ministries, local and global mission service, a dynamic technology-integrated curriculum including AP and dual-enrollment options, character-driven athletics, and valuable work experience. I was born in Madison, Tennessee and grew up on and around the campus. While a student at Madison Academy, I fell in love with Jesus. While attending, I learned the skills and developed the habits that made me a successful student, a lifelong learner, and a committed leader. As a graduate, I decided to become a teacher and give my life to one of our church’s greatest ministries: Adventist Education. It is indeed a privilege to serve here where the same dedication to fostering a family atmosphere, engaging students in learning, and serving our community remains at the heart of our school. I have been tremendously blessed by my history at Madison Academy and am excited about the promise its future holds. At Madison Academy, you can develop the foundational skills and intellect to be the scientists, mathematicians, historians, writers, preachers, and teachers of tomorrow, or more notably, At Madison Academy, you can enhance your experience with the performing and visual arts. Our choral, band, hand-bell, and drama groups give students the chance to develop their talent and share it with others. We count it a privilege to connect people and God through the ministry of music, drama, and art. At Madison Academy, you can be an athlete. The co-ed intramural program has been a focal point of school spirit for years. Everyone can participant in any of the recreational seasons. If you are a gymnast, the Acros team has plans for you. Our newly-formed interscholastic sports program currently boasts four teams in three sports. At Madison Academy, you can be a servant leader. We believe the Gospel Commission to “Go ye therefore and make disciples…” was not reserved for preachers, but is a command to all Christians, including the youth of today. It is our distinct honor to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Madison takes that charge seriously and knows that “making disciples” often begins with meeting the basic needs of God’s children. Our community outreach and commitment to the ministry of service is central to the mission of Madison Academy. In short, Madison Academy seeks to provide an academic climate in an Adventist culture. That means we are dedicated to providing: a rigorous curriculum with consistent support for learning; intentional opportunities to connect faith and learning; and experiences that expand minds, grow faith, and prepare leaders. Our students leave Madison Academy positioned to thrive in college, career, and life through the embodiment of seven Core Characteristics which are infused in our curriculum and culture. Madison Academy, established in 1904 under the visionary inspiration of Ellen White, is a co-educational, day high school located approximately ten miles northeast of Nashville, Tennessee on a bend of the Cumberland River. The academy is owned by the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and run by the Renaissance Network and primarily serves students of Christian backgrounds and families from the Nashville community. The three entities of the academy include our educational program, our Linen Service industry and nearly sixty units of rental properties. About forty full and part-time workers make up our staff. It is a member of the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Secondary Schools.
