We accomplish this goal by combining our state-of-the-art facility and machinery with continuous-improvement processes based on the principles of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. Madico uses multiple suppliers that are regional to our manufacturing facilities; our manufacturing facilities are strategically located near our customers to supply products in an eco-friendly manner. Our production Staff Madico’s staff averages 17 years with the company, and, in that time, each employee had established himself as a highly regarded subject matter expert. As Madico invests in its factory and labs, we also make certain our staff has access to the training required to become leaders. In fact, Madico currently employs several of the world’s most advanced thinkers in Six Sigma and lean manufacturing. Madico’s staff is made up of ordinary people who produce the extraordinary! Madico is committed to: Creating High Value Technology & Products Madico’s facility is designed for 100 % capture of process emissions and is equipped with a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (MEGTECCleanSwitch) that performs with greater than 99% destruction efficiency of Volatile Organic Compounds utilized in the manufacturing processes. This system also functions as a heat recovery system with 95% thermal efficiency. The heat is captured and re-used in our manufacturing process. Our facility has 57 Kilowatt array of solar power panels installed on our buildings. In fact, our entire distribution warehouse is run by solar power. Further, Madico has updated our facility HVAC systems to run only Energy Star high-rated energy efficient systems. Madico is, without question, committed to do our part in the Green Revolution. In our corporate structure, we have 5 commercial scale coater/laminators. Through our alliance network of converters (which includes our parent company Lintec), we have access to 70 more. Our two fully owned manufacturing locations include: Woburn, Massachusetts and St. Petersburg, Florida. Our machines can manufacture backsheets up to 1830mm or 72” wide. All machines equipped with automated online detection system and controls Used to provide customer with sheet materials to fit any specification Madico adheres closely to the “operational excellence” models espoused exposed by the prestigious Shingo Prize organization. It is our unwavering goal to be a prize recipient by the year 2012. Our pursuit of this coveted award ensures we follow the most stringent lean manufacturing processes, which allow us to minimize or eliminate non-value added steps and waste in the following seven categories: Defect, Overproduction, Transportation, Waiting, Inventory, Motion and Over-Processing. Madico has also implemented the Six Sigma improvement process for the past five years. Six Sigma is a broad set of statistically based tools and problem solving process for reducing variation. The problems solving process follows the “DMAIC” format of Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control. Ultimately, investing in these processes means our customers receive high quality products, quickly and efficiently, which are manufactured in an environment that produces less waste and greenhouse gasses. While no one can predict where or when disaster may strike, a good company, through good practices and processes, can effectively minimize the chance of an occurrence.
