A 30+ year veteran of the entertainment business, Merlin’s roles have run the gamut, including stints in recording studios (shadowed Elliot Scheiner [Steely Dan], Hall & Oates, Deep Purple, Chris Jasper (Isley Brothers) and many more. He was the Sales/Marketing Director for Earache, Rawkus, ILS/PolyGram, K7 Distribution, Def Jux, 75 Ark and his own Cinder Cone Records. He’s also a Producer/Engineer & Composer with multiple projects in the works. Lainie has been a Special Events Producer and Media Executive in Film, TV, Music and Radio for the last 30 years. From producing many industry galas on the back lots of Universal to events backstage at the World Music Awards in Monaco, to creating a Film Festival featuring Robert Redford and a concert for Thomas Dolby, She has structured several strategic alliances for her event productions and projects that have included major A list Actors and Fortune 500 companies. She is also host of a weekly talk show currently listened to in 55+ countries featuring filmmakers and musicians. With over twenty years in international marketing & business strategy Monica continues to fuel a passion for the business. At an executive level, Monica has been instrumental in the success of global brands and intrepid start-ups, such as American Express, The Swatch Group, Ralph Lauren, Crocs, Inc., and Gersh Educational Services. She has led and managed complex global projects, opened new markets, leveraged media assets, overseen global event sponsorships, and developed integrated marketing strategies, contributing to revenue growth by the millions.
