Who is a Lucas Lagoons client? Anyone who can dream! Born into a family of Vermont landscapers and stonemasons, Lucas has been cutting and crafting stone since the age of 14 where his creative talents and love for outdoor design quickly surfaced. He moved to Florida in 2001 and was delighted to find the variety of plants and trees available, not to mention the very interesting limestone rocks. He became a member of FSPA & APSP and started Lucas Lagoons in 2003 where his first project was a dramatic natural sand bottom lagoon using native limestone boulders. The project won Lucas Lagoons the prestigious Gold Award in residential pool restorations. And the rest, as they say, is history. Lucas’s incredible, state-of-the-art, custom creations continue to receive awards and accolades nationwide, and even captured the attention of network television where he is the star of his hit series “Insane Pools: Off the Deep End.” Lucas always challenges himself and his crew with ever changing designs and ideas, and says “A custom design is just that…it will never be built again.” And what do his clients say when they first see their completed Lucas Lagoons work of art? “I never dreamed it would be this beautiful!” Jane is Lucas’s mom and a master stonemason in her own right. She moved from Vermont to Sarasota to work with Lucas when he started Lucas Lagoons. Jane may be the oldest member of the crew and a “woman” to boot, but she can lay stone circles around even the most capable stonemasons. She is not a force to be reckoned with! Chris earned his nickname the hard way. He’s crashed just about everything that has wheels. He just can’t resist “muddin’” on the weekends. During the week, he is incredibly hard working, can operate any piece of equipment, and really knows lagoon pool construction inside and out. If something needs doing, Chris can and will do it. Matt is a relatively new member of the Lucas Lagoons crew. Once you see him smile, you’ll understand the nickname. Also known as “Mud Man”, Matt is willing to do any job and has become an integral part of the team. When we contacted you in regards to putting a “little piece of Hawaii” in our backyard, little did we know that Lucas Lagoons could exceed any expectation we could have ever imagined. We want to express our sincerest appreciation to the both of you as well as your entire crew for creating such a masterpiece that is the focal point of our home. From our very first meeting when you came to our new home to discuss our aspirations to the finishing touches, we have been truly amazed by the quality of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and follow-up ensuring our complete satisfaction. Our family, friends and neighbors are in complete amazement of our lagoon, with the only drawback being having more people knock on our door asking if they can show off our lagoon to friends. This Lucas Lagoon that we are proud to call our own is almost like a wedding cake that looks too good to eat, or a car that is too nice to drive, it looks too good to swim in but then you can’t help yourself and just have to jump in and enjoy it as the landscape from inside is just as beautiful as in is standing alongside of it. We thank you again for you dedications to our paradise, our little piece of Hawaii, and turning our dreams into reality. We are now the envy of the neighborhood and can entertain and relax in style.
