LOVING CARE ANIMAL HOSPITAL, INC., LARGO

At Loving Care Animal Hospital, we’ve been proud to serve the local pet owners of Largo and the greater Tampa Bay area with outstanding veterinary care for over twenty years. Since we first started, we’ve gained a reputation for delivering quality veterinary care that’s accessible to all families. It’s our mission to provide pet owners and families from across the area with the comprehensive veterinary care that they deserve! Our compassionate outlook, family-oriented atmosphere and quality service truly sets us apart. In 2009, Dr. Richard Dinon purchased Loving Care Animal Hospital, which had been launched years earlier. He worked tirelessly to keep existing traditions alive, while at the same time enhancing the level of veterinary service, medicine, technology and general care to meet the highest standards possible. It’s with this growth that Loving Care Animal Hospital has become a full-service veterinary hospital, adding innovations such as advanced anesthetic monitoring programs, microchipping, ultrasound, and wellness care to ensure that your pet stays happy and healthy. Of course, we still believe deeply in accessible, compassionate care, but have been able to enhance our standards of veterinary medicine to ensure that you receive an unsurpassed level of excellence each time you see us. As part of our ongoing commitment to our local community and the greater Tampa Bay area, we are also proud of our status as the sole veterinary care provider for both the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the Largo Police Department’s K9 Officer Units. We’re proud to provide care to these officers so that they can continue to safely and effectively protect our community and ensure the safety of residents and pet owners from across the area. As our small token of appreciation, we offer for retired K9 officers of all police agencies. This is simply a small gesture that we’re happy to make, since we are so proud of our local community and the brave police officers who work to keep us safe. and hope that you’ll consider making a donation today. Helping Families Provide the Loving Care their Pets Deserve At Loving Care Animal Hospital, we believe that all pet owners deserve access to the best possible veterinary care. That why we’ve designed our veterinary facility and our range of services to ensure outstanding care is delivered to your pet and remains available no matter what. When you visit us at Loving Care Animal Hospital, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that you’re in dependable hands that strive for veterinary excellence, day after day and year after year! Doctor Richard has been working in veterinary medicine since he was 14-years old and brings an unparalleled level of compassion and expertise to each and every pet that he sees. Dr. Richard Dinon grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and began to show a distinct passion for veterinary medicine at the age of 14. Early on, a young Richard Dinon sat in amazement as his family veterinarian examined his family’s chocolate Lab, Beau, trying to find the cause for his sudden onset of seizures. His passion was so evident, that the veterinarian offered him a job to help nurture that passion. From that point on, Dr. Richard continually worked in animal hospitals. Starting as a kennel boy, he worked his way up to veterinary technician and eventually was accepted to the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine after only three years of undergraduate studies. Those years of experience in the veterinary field prior to becoming a veterinarian have been paramount to Dr. Richard’s ability to understand his patients and their needs. Dr. Richard has practiced in Pinellas County since his graduation in 2002 and became the owner of Loving Care Animal Hospital in 2009. Dr. Richard is a member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Society, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Since graduating, he has attended extensive continuing education courses in internal medicine, surgery, and dermatology as well as completing advanced, specialized training in ultrasonography and ultrasound-assisted diagnostic procedures such as soft tissue biopsies and cytologies. Debbi has proudly accrued decades of experience working with veterinary hospitals, first beginning her veterinary work in 1970. She’s worked at Loving Care Animal Hospital since 2006 and shares her home with Keepher, an Australian shepherd, and Otis a tabby kitty. Debbie also welcomed a new baby kitten into her home and bottle fed him from the time he was 2 weeks old. His name is Gus, a gray and white handsome feline. Debbi also adopted a stray neighborhood kitty named Timmy. Timmy has made himself an important part of Debbi’s daily routine. Devin has been working with animals for 10 years and started working at Loving Care Animal Hospital in January, 2015. She is originally from Utah but has lived in Florida for 8 years now. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2011. Devin has worked with all kinds of animals ranging from dogs and cats to birds, small mammals, primates, and sea turtles. She is currently attending St. Petersburg College in order to obtain her veterinary technician certification and anticipates graduating from the program in the fall of 2016. Katt started working at Loving Care Animal Hospital in March 2016, but has worked within the veterinary field since 2006. Katt has worked with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other exotic pets. She is originally from Boston, but has been in Pinellas County since 1997. She has rescued two three legged cats, Tryke and Obama, along with two dogs, Tessie (Go Red Sox) and Leo.
