LIVE FREE BE STRONG FOUNDATION Founded by David Vincent, LIVE FREE BE STRONG is taking a stand to end bullying by supporting grassroots organizations which provide education and outreach services. We have produced a music video titled, “LIVE FREE BE STRONG,” which shows the impact on how staying strong and living free can help one to survive and enjoy a bright future. Two years after the release of our first video we released “Best For Me”, written and performed by a local student, which spreads the message of creating your own destiny. Since our launch in 2012 LIVE FREE BE STRONG has raised over $60,000 dollars for the SMART Ride, joined with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers for a “Kick Out Bullying” soccer game, assisted in the creation of an anti-bullying public service announcement, and awarded a Founder’s Scholarship to a local student. We have also launched a line of Live Free Be Strong empowerment symposiums, and partnered with Kids In Distress to teach the power of the individual and spread the message to students that “if it’s meant to be, it’s up to me”. Please LIVE FREE BE STRONG FOUNDATION It may seem odd that an anti-bullying organization would open with a definition when the very point of living free and being strong is the embodiment of individuality and celebration of what makes each of us unique. But it is impossible to realize what we do if we don’t convey an understanding of what we are trying to prevent. Live Free Be Strong focuses on empowerment of individuals. In addition to the empowerment sessions, Live Free Be Strong has organized and/or actively participated in: Our organization also supports deserving high school students upon matriculation to college studies. The Founder’s Scholarship has been established to honor students who have demonstrated exemplary behavior and shown dedicated service to their community and embody the Live Free Be Strong message that “if it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.” are registered trademarks and cannot be used or duplicated without the sole permission of the organization. Please LIVE FREE BE STRONG isn’t just the name of our foundation; it’s a message to live by. The above quote opens the chorus of our anti-bullying song, and is a good overall summary of what the foundation aims to teach others. We focus on empowerment. Empowering the individual. Empowering a group. Empowering others to help others. Our LIVE FREE BE STRONG empowerment symposiums have spread to teach hundreds of students this message, and hopefully given them the power to make a difference in their daily lives and in the lives of others.
