Little Haiti Optimist Club, Inc., a Florida nonprofit organization established on March 28, 2010, was incorporated under the company type DOMNP with the filing number N10000003231. Educational programs are central to LHOC's agenda. The Full S.T.E.A.M Ahead summer camp introduced students from kindergarten through eighth grade to comprehensive STEM education at Soar Park. This program included interdisciplinary workshops, field trips, and hands-on activities focused on engineering, computing, graphic arts, business/social entrepreneurship, and sustainable community gardening. The effort culminated in a graduation event where participants showcased their projects. On May 1st each year, LHOC celebrates Haitian Heritage Cultural Month to honor the cultural contributions of the Haitian community. Partnership with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Miami's NET office resulted in the inaugural Little Haiti Health & Fitness Fair offering free health screenings and educational activities. In August 2013, LHOC remodeled Soar Park to establish a multi-functional Tech Center providing technology access, career training, educational programs, and recreational opportunities. The center houses workstations equipped with computers and printers, along with spaces dedicated to tutoring and diverse enrichment classes for children covering STEM disciplines, arts, music, and entrepreneurship. In recognition of their leadership roles, Marie Louissaint serves as President, Andrew Carry as Vice President, and Wilkinson Sejour also holds the position of Vice President onboard.
