With this in mind, we created the FCCMS website to serve as a daily aid to trial attorneys, law firms and schedulers. Since 2004, the FloridaMediators.org site has become a 'one-stop shop' for those that regularly require a mediator, allowing them to instantly view the availability of preferred professionals and expedite the scheduling process. Since 2016, our website regularly welcomes between 2500-3000 unique visitors each week day, making it the most visited website in the Florida legal sector. . Membership is limited to established mediators or arbitrators, each of whom is confirmed to have met our nomination and experience requirements, and to have established a solid reputation in their respective field. however insist members continue the Circuit-Civil recertification process: once firmly established in private mediation practice, members often wish to "drop off" the court rosters.) 8 attorney client references required on application (attorneys for whom neutral has mediated/arbitrated  civil-trial disputes in the preceding 60-90 days. Each will be contacted and questioned as to nominee's approach, effectiveness, professionalism and reputation within the firm. All nominees must provide attorney references (as described above) before being confirmed into the Society. The FL Committee is an appointed group of fulltime mediators who have been instrumental in helping to identify, and nominate, those mediators of repute across Florida. They have also given advice as to suitable membership criteria, and provided guidance in matters relating to the business of our National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals group. We are grateful to the following FL Committee Members: Karen Evans, a Florida Bar member and the founder of Litigation Resolution, Inc. has spent more than twenty years working exclusively as a mediator and arbitrator. Ms. Evans specializes in employment, civil rights, disability and commercial law claims pending in both federal and state court. Ms. Evans additionally serves as a panelist for the American Arbitration Association where she regularly arbitrates both employment and commercial disputes. Ms Evans served on a panel where she mediated and arbitrated national class action gender discrimination claims and provided early neutral evaluation for a national class action race discrimination claim. Ms. Evans has published and delivered numerous continuing legal education seminars on civil mediation in the state and federal courts of Florida. Prior to becoming a full~ time neutral, Ms. Evans spent ten years specializing in complex commercial litigation with a Miami commercial litigation boutique practice.
