The more I pay forward the more my talents shine!” ~Lisa Drawing inspiration from Diner en Blanc which started in France in 1988, Lisa and Leslie Ozols, along with a team of dynamic women, created ‘An Evening in White’. Attendees had to adhere to definite rules, which included wearing white attire and having white table settings. Guests had to arrive with their dinner in tow at 6pm at a location disclosed the morning of the event. Until then the location remains a secret! In addition to being a wonderful night filled with live music and hayrides, guests also help the local food pantries. ‘An Evening in White’s’ tag line became Lisa believes to the core of her being that giving back to her community is how she shows thanks for the gifts she has been given. Mentoring high school students is one of many ways Lisa shows her thanks. “Any opportunity I have to work with our youth, I jump on it. Honestly, they are our future. It is part of our responsibility to help guide them through life. It brings me great pleasure to share my career path, my failures, and my successes. They are what built me and I hope inspires others to live their dreams.” said Lisa. Eastern Kentucky Missions with LINKS 2004-2013 Lisa, her husband Joe, and both of their children, Ashley and Joey, spent years traveling to Eastern Kentucky building and rehabbing housing for the needy of Floyd & Johnson Counties. Working alongside with adult volunteers and youth ranging in ages from 7 to 20 years old proved to be rewarding on many levels. The obvious reward, building and giving to those less fortunate was life changing. Although the time spent with teenagers, in their formative years proved to be a bonus Lisa and Joe never expected. Many of those teenagers, now adults, reach out with updates to Lisa and Joe and on occasion, a little life guidance. Lisa and Joe were both awarded with the distinction of ‘Kentucky Colonel’ in 2013 for their extensive missionary work throughout Eastern Kentucky. “Hiring Lisa has proven to be the single most significant decision made throughout our ongoing home renovation project. After spending a lot of time and money working with other designers…and making several costly design mistakes…Lisa has helped my husband and I put our house and our lives back together. Her style is your style. Lisa’s primary objective throughout the design process is to create a space that YOU love and that will stand the test of time. We have most recently finished a complete custom kitchen renovation and will soon be starting on a full gut master bedroom, bath, and closet project. Under her expertise, our house is transforming into a dream home…one room at a time. Despite her busy schedule, simply a result of being in high demand, Lisa always takes the necessary time to make us feel like we are her top priority.
